Trolleys for Canoes and Kayaks

A trolley makes it easier to transport your canoe, kayak, sea kayak or sit-on-top kayak to the water. Rather than lift and carry the full weight of your kayak, simply secure your craft onto the trolley, pick up the front toggle handle and trail your craft along behind you.

If you have to park your car a little way away from the water or if you live close enough to the water to walk to your favourite launching place, a trolley makes life alot easier than carrying to the water or loading onto the car for just a short trip.

There are numerous designs of trolleys on the market today, and they are not all created equal.
Some are more suitable for larger canoes and double kayaks, while others will do fine for smaller, lighter kayaks.

The main difference that you will find in trolleys, is the materials they are made out of. This is most relevant with regard to sit-on-top kayak trolleys. The stainless steel trolleys that are welded have a much higher carrying capacity than the trolleys made of alloy tubing that fit together using plastic fittings.

When looking at trolleys, take note of the diametre of the tubing used and the wall thickness of that tubing, as this is where most of the structural strength comes from.

Kayaks Australia carry a range of trolleys, to suit the different types of watercraft. If after reading below you still don't know which trolley would best suit your craft, please call us on (02) 9531 7800.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure prices listed on this website are accurate, prices are subject to change without notice. Please call us on 02 9531 7800 to confirm the price before placing your order.
